Stop by the music area after Mass

GGB - Teen & Young Adult Choir

Is God calling you to join our Music Program?

Questions? We're here to help!

Music is an integral part of our worship. Your talents are needed for us to be as effective as we can be for the glory of God and for the worship of our parish.  It is a rewarding call to serve the Lord.  It's also enjoyable!

Our goal is to:

  1. Lead the musical portions of our liturgy;

  2. Grow in musical quality and expand our repertoire;

  3. Involve more people to build vibrant musical leadership of worship.

We welcome both singers and instrumentalists to sing and play at Mass.  We are flexible and can work with your busy schedule.  Vocal training is available.  Instrumentalists high school age or older are invited to play.  We welcome people who play orchestral instruments (violin, oboe, trumpet) as well as acoustic/electric/bass guitar, keyboard, drums and percussion.

We welcome capable musicians and singers that enjoy playing in a pop-rock band setting. Both traditional and newer music are utilized in a style similar to what is played on contemporary christian radio stations like KLOVE. Our group, affectionately dubbed by Fr. John as "God's Garage Band," encourages teen and young adult participation.  Service hours are available to students needing them.

The Adult Choir offers traditional choral at the 9:00AM Sunday Mass. We occasionally sing at a Saturday Mass, as well as Christmas and Holy Week and other celebrations. We sing from September through early June. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings in church from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.

The Children's Choir is available for children grades 2 and older. We will sing at select Masses October through May.  Rehearsals will be held on Monday afternoons when school is in session. If a minimum of 6 children sign up, an additional rehearsal from 5:15PM to 6:00PM will be scheduled (before REP classes). All children from school, parish and REP are most welcome!

The Chamber Choir is formed of experienced singers interested in learning a more challenging repertoire. We usually sing at the All Souls' Liturgy, as well as a at the Lenten Taize Service. If you have sung in high school or college choirs, we welcome you to join us.

The Resurrection Choir leads music at funerals in church. You will be contacted when a funeral is scheduled. If you are available, there will be a short rehearsal. Your commitment is minimal, the rewards are many.  A great ministry for retired people or anyone available during the day.
