OF SAINT GILBERT CHURCH
Celebrating the Liturgy as a community is the center of our faith at Saint Gilbert Parish. We look to our faith community to assist in planning, preparing, and taking part in the Liturgy. God has blessed each of us with talents and gifts. Please consider sharing those talents and gifts with the Saint Gilbert Parish community.
The volunteers for this ministry are responsible for the care of all the linens used for liturgy. Members are scheduled on a rotating basis to clean, press and fold purificators and corporals from daily and weekend Masses.
Please contact Kate Milchuck at email@example.com for more information.
Children and youth in 5th grade and above are welcome and encouraged to serve as altar servers. This ministry provides children and youth the opportunity to assist in the celebration of the liturgy as book bearers and table servers. Because of the intimate involvement with the liturgy, the ministry of altar server leads children to a better understanding and appreciation of the Mass, and a deeper awareness of the importance of Christian service within their parish. Schedules are created based on family availability and the needs of the parish.

ENVIRONMENT AND ART
The members of the Art and Liturgical Environment Committee help plan and create the liturgical environment for our worship space. This ministry helps the community by preparing the space in which we receive God’s word and enter into communion with God and one another. The liturgical year comes alive through the visual arts and attention to the color and beauty of each season.
Pease contact Gloria Venzon at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
EUCHARISTIC BREAD BAKERS
Eucharistic bread bakers provide our worshiping community Eucharistic Bread, which according to the General Instruction of the Roman Missal (2003): “The bread for celebrating the Eucharist must be made only from wheat, must be recently baked, and, according to the ancient tradition of the Latin Church, must be unleavened” (par. 320).
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion for Liturgy serve the community by assisting in the distribution of communion at all parish liturgies. Ministers distribute both the Precious Body and Precious Blood, as communion is offered under both forms at all Masses. Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion are trained through the both Diocesan programs and by our local parish. Once training is complete, we welcome you to serve our parishioners. Schedules are created based on individual availability and the needs of the parish.
Please contact Angela Landmesser at email@example.com for more information.
The Liturgical Ministries assist the community in celebrating and living the seasons of the Church’s liturgical year. This includes reflection on the Sunday scriptures and how our daily lives draw meaning and strength from them. A representative from each of the liturgical ministries comprises the Liturgy Committee who then relate to their ministers special actions and rituals reflected in the various seasons.
Mass Coordinators arrive early in order to prepare for the parish liturgies. With reverent and careful attention to set up and the handling of sacred vessels, they help make sure everything is ready for both Sunday and weekday liturgies.
