LITURGICAL MINISTRIES
OF SAINT GILBERT CHURCH

Celebrating the Liturgy as a community is the center of our faith at Saint Gilbert Parish. We look to our faith community to assist in planning, preparing, and taking part in the Liturgy. God has blessed each of us with talents and gifts. Please consider sharing those talents and gifts with the Saint Gilbert Parish community.

ALTAR LINENS

The volunteers for this ministry are responsible for the care of all the linens used for liturgy. Members are scheduled on a rotating basis to clean, press and fold purificators and corporals from daily and weekend Masses.

Please contact Kate Milchuck at milchuck@att.net for more information.

ALTAR SERVERS

Children and youth in 5th grade and above are welcome and encouraged to serve as altar servers. This ministry provides children and youth the opportunity to assist in the celebration of the liturgy as book bearers and table servers. Because of the intimate involvement with the liturgy, the ministry of altar server leads children to a better understanding and appreciation of the Mass, and a deeper awareness of the  importance of Christian service within their parish. Schedules are created based on family availability and the needs of the parish.

Visit our Altar Server Page for more information!

ENVIRONMENT AND ART

The members of the Art and Liturgical Environment Committee help plan and create the liturgical environment for our worship space. This ministry helps the community by preparing the space in which we receive God’s word and enter into communion with God and one another. The liturgical year comes alive through the visual arts and attention to the color and beauty of each season.
