choir areaMusic is in integral part of our worship. We intend that our music program:
1: Glorifies God by using our musical skills
2: Leads and supports the assembly at worship
3: Grows in musical quality and skills
4: Involves more people in building vibrant, prayerful music.

We invite you to consider sharing your talents for God and your parish!
This is the time for YOU to become involved as our program expands.

This is an important call - to serve the Lord! We are aware that young and older people have many commitments. We have a variety of groups that can match your interests and schedule. Contact us with any questions or concerns.

We welcome CANTORS and INSTRUMENTALISTS to lead music at the 5:00 – 7:30 – 12:15p Masses. We will work with your availability. CANTORS meet several times annually for training.

ST. GILBERT ADULT CHOIR alternates monthly between 9:00 & 10:45 Mass from September thru June.
We rehearse Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:45.

PARISH CHILDREN’S CHOIR includes children grade 2 and older singing at mass twice monthly, alternating between the 9:00 & 10:45 Mass beginning in October, and at other special events.  Rehearsals on Mondays.

ST. GILBERT CHAMBER CHOIR is formed by experienced singers wishing to sing a challenging and varied repertoire. We sing several times a year for regular and special liturgies. Ability to hold your part and blend your voice is important. If you sing in high school or college ensembles (or have in the past) you can make a positive contribution to this group. Please contact us! Your inquiries are welcomed!

RESURRECTION CHOIR leads the music at funerals scheduled in church.
Sign up for the days that you are usually available. You will be called or e-mailed when a funeral is scheduled. If available, we meet ½ hour before the funeral to rehearse. If you are not available, we’ll contact you another time. This is a wonderful way to support those who are suffering a loss by assisting them in prayer. Most of the music is familiar from Sunday Mass.

INSTRUMENALISTS: Anyone high school age or older is invited to play their instrument at mass. You may participate as your schedule permits. We hope to add orchestral instruments (violin, trumpet, oboe, flute, clarinet, etc.) We also hope to add some guitarists and percussionists.

FESTIVAL CHOIR: For people who cannot make an annual commitment.
You can choose to sing and rehearse for THANKSGIVING ECUMENICAL SERVICE, THANKSGIVING DAY MASS, CHRISTMAS MIDNIGHT MASS, THE EASTER TRIDUUM. Join with our established groups and be a part of these special services. All inquiries welcomed!
