Saint Gilbert Young Adults
and Theology on Tap 2014

2014 Activity Schedule

In an effort to bring the young adults of Lake County together, Saint Gilbert Young Adults are partnering with the Young Adults from St. Paul the Apostle (Gurnee), St. Patrick's (Wadsworth) and Our Lady of Humility (Beach Park) to sponsor Theology on Tap this summer on alternating Sunday's beginning on June 29th.

All talks will be held at Fatman's Pub in Gurnee. We'll start with beach volleyball beginning at 5:00 followed by the talk beginning at 7:00. Each person attending is asked to bring $5 for unlimited pizza and drinks. Please visit for an updated calendar of events in the Lake County area.

We enjoyed seeing everyone that was able to attend Theology on Tap. We hope that you enjoyed the program. We hope that all young adults at St. Gilbert Church will join us for our monthly program.

Whether it is your first time spending time with our group, or you have been to many events, we would like to extend an invitation for you to join us every first Saturday of the month. We attend 5PM mass then enjoy good food and conversations followed by games and relaxation.

We are also planning several activities throughout the coming year as well as collaborations with St. Paul The Apostle's Catholic Young Adults group.

For a calendar of events or for more information, please consult our webpage on the parish website under Parish Life, OR email us at OR find us on Facebook at St. Gilbert's Youngadults.

Theology On Tap was started in 1981 by Fr. Jack Wall, Mr. Tom James, both on staff at St. James Parish in Arlington Heights, and a small group of St. James' University of Illinois college parishioners looking to grow as Catholics during their summer break. It has since become the premier program of catechesis and evangelization of young adult Catholics in the United States and around the world. It’s an enriching experience of young adults in their 20’s and 30’s, married or single coming together to discuss relationships, liturgy, prayer, and faithful living from a modern Christian point of view.
