Welcome

Dear Women of St. Gilbert,

It's my first year as your Women's Club President and I'm looking forward to a great year! I have been a member of St. Gilbert parish for 22 years, working with the RICA and Music ministries. I became a member of Women's Club 4 years ago. During that time, I served as Chair for the Membership Committee and discovered that in the process of providing vital services and funds to the parish and the community, you can have a great time with good friends!

2012 - 2013 promises to be super year! I encourage all women from our parish community to review our calendar or better yet come to our next meeting. You will be glad you did. And don't forget to bring a friend!

Membership

St. Gilbert Women's Club welcomes all women of St. Gilbert Parish. We are a social/fundraising organization that seeks to draw the women of the parish closer together in friendship and service to the church. Our group is over 25 years old and our membership is between 50 to 75 annually. The Women's Club is an intergenerational group of women from their 20's to 70's+ and our common goal is to grow closer as members of a church community while providing opportunities for fun and service. Typically, our efforts bring many events to our church body and we are so proud to be able to fund an average of $10,000 (has been up to $20,000) each year to subsidize educational goals of the entire parish.

Our organizational year runs from September through May of each year with meetings on the first or second Tuesday of the month. Our meetings consist of a short business meeting to discuss the workings of our club, followed by a social time to re-connect and laugh with friends, which usually includes a program of some kind. Our programs range from spiritual speakers to crafts to comedians to whatever interesting topic you can imagine. We also provide many events to the parish each year. Examples are coat drives, craft shows and our anual Fashion Show. All are welcome to attend any meeting, and we hope after joining us you will become a member. We look to new faces to keep us strong, vibrant and motivated in our mission to support the parish and help us grow as women.
