Hello Ladies!

I wanted to take some time to update you on SGWC's current events.

The annual Market Day Pie sale is going on!  You may order by going to www.marketday. com or contacting Becky Hoffman, 847-223-6759 or Sue Ann Kegel, 847-270-9748.  On-line orders are due by 11:00 p.m. Monday, November 9th.  The more pies we sell, the more profit we earn on each pie!

Two possible dates for our next board meeting are Tuesday, November 10th or Wednesday, November 18th.  Please e-mail me at sueann.kegel@ sbcglobal. net with your preference.  We will be planning our Spring events, performing our financial review and discussing our Spring Fundraiser vendor.  We will be meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the Vine.

Tuesday, November 24th is the Annual Teacher Dinner.  This year's theme is "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant".   Contact Sue Ann Kegel, 847-270-9748 or Jen Powers, 847-833-6040 if you can help by donating food or helping set-up/clean- up.  A more detailed e-mail to follow.

Santa's Secret Shop could use your help!  Please contact Becky Hoffman at 847-223-6759 or mikebeckyhoffman@ att.net.  Dates this year are December 7, 8 and 9th.

ACCW is again offering a 4 year scholarship for High School Senior girls.  Applications can be found on our website at http://www.stgilber t.org/Ministries /womensclub. html and are due February 20, 2010.

Mark you calendars, Tuesday December 1st is our annual SGWC Christmas Party at the beautiful Byron Colby Barn in the Prairie Crossing neighborhood!

Membership

St. Gilbert Women's Club welcomes all women of St. Gilbert Parish.  We are a social/fundraising organization that seeks to draw the women of the parish closer together in friendship and service to the church.  Our group is over 25 years old and our membership is between 75 to 100 annually.  The Women's Club is an intergenerational group of women from their 20's to 70's+ and our common goal is to grow closer as members of a church community while providing opportunities for fun and service.  Typically, our efforts bring many events to our church body and we are so proud to be able to fund an average of $10,000 (have been up to $20,000) each year to subsidize educational goals of the entire parish.

Our organizational year runs from September through May of each year with meetings on the first or second Tuesday of the month.  Our meeting consist of a short business meeting to discuss the workings of our club,  a social time to re-connect and laugh with friends, and then a program.  Our programs range from spiritual speakers to craft to comedians to whatever interesting topic you can imagine.  As for events, please click on the link to see some of the wonderful things we are so proud to provide the parish each year.  Examples are coat drives, craft show, shopper elf, for the needy.  All are welcome to attend any meeting.  WE hope after joining us you will become a member.  WE look to new faces to keep us strong, vibrant and motivated in our mission to support the parish and help us grow as women.
